Pilot Plant for Valorization of Fruit, Vine, and Olive By-products

Description

Valorization studies of discarded fruit, fruit pits, pomace, and pulp, evaluating cascading processes, to add value to these materials in the production of bioplastics, textile fibers, exfoliating oils, antioxidants, antimicrobials, antihypertensives, anti-inflammatories, and natural preservatives. Scaling up to 50 L of sustainable extraction processes and/or physicochemical-enzymatic transformations (hydrolysis, condensation, substitution, crystallization, distillation...).
