BioHubCat introduces its new catalogue of services

The BioHubCat has presented the new catalogue of services through the database available on its website. This new digital tool underlines the Hub’s role in connecting and promoting the capacities of public and private entities so that they can find the solutions they need to generate economic value from renewable organic resources.

The technologies database

A second database that reviews the state of technology for biomass processing has also been added to the web. In its first version, this tool focuses on technologies aimed at the nutrients recovery, and has been implemented by the BETA Technology Center.

The catalog’s aim is to offer a panoramic view of the technologies that exist around the world to companies willing to start a project, with their main characteristics, advantages and disadvantages, to find the ones that best suit their needs.

The BioHubCat plans to expand this database on technologies by involving Catalan entities specializing in each field of work.

The promotion of biopolygons

The work done by BioHubCat around the biopolygon projects presented at the BIT congress has generated enthusiasm in the sector. This is why the BioHubCat is working on specific aspects of the proposal, such as collaborating with an urban architect to draw up a guide for local administration technicians to help them in creating specialized areas and processing activities for companies that develop projects linked to the bioeconomy.
